Clam is a chill out dreamy kind of playlist that sounds like it was made in the spur of a moment. Created by John Muhammed, in April of last year, Muhammed claims that when he made the playlist, he was listening to an initial playlist curated by writer and art critic Teju Cole.
Teju Cole had made a playlist that was based on the works of one producer that he liked. Perhaps it was the vibe or the influence that the producer had casted on modern music? Muhammed does not remember, but he sure knows that the focus was on songwriting and really good guitar work. As he browsed the list created by Teju Cole and checked out some of the songs, Muhammed quickly made a list of his favorites.
Listening now to the music on Clam, some of the tracks remind me of some other tunes I know. Maybe they are related, it’s really hard to tell.
This is Clam.
